    Abstract

To comprehensively characterise and integrate cellular signals and associate them with patient history and treatments. Biological events can be genome alterations, mutations, chromosomal rearrangements, gene and miRNA expressions, methylation patterns, exon variations, etc.. As such, CIT is developing an integrated view of how cancer cells develop and function. This work forms the basis of personalised medicine that is adapted to the genomic characteristics of each tumour. CIT may then identify molecular signatures of patients who are more likely to respond well to a treatment, or whose cancer is deemed more aggressive, therefore helping MDs to choose the best treatment and care.
